New state guidelines issues for nursing home and long-term care facility visitations

Recent regulation changes are allowing Texans to visit loved ones in nursing homes and long-term care facilities.
The guidance issued by the Texas Health and Human Services permits facilities to apply for in-person visitations.
Under the new state-issued guidelines a facility must have no active cases in order to apply. If the facility does pass the approval process, all visits must be conducted outside with no physical contact.
